Wynn Al Marjan Island in the UAE is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the IT Systems Architecture, Design & Development team. You will design and optimize data pipelines, build data warehouses, and enable analytics.

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, water features, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the IT Systems Architecture, Design & Development team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, Snowflake, and Airflow


• Build scalable batch, incremental, real-time, and CDC-based data ingestion solutions


• Develop and maintain data warehouses and dimensional models for analytics and reporting


• Create and manage Airflow DAGs for workflow orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring


• Optimize Snowflake data models, query performance, and data loading processes


• Translate business requirements into scalable and reliable data engineering solutions


• Enhance data platform performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency


• Produce technical documentation and support analytics teams with high‑quality data assets

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• 5-7 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT development, and data pipeline automation


• Proven experience designing and optimizing data warehouses, dimensional models, and analytics‑ready data structures


• Strong knowledge of batch, incremental, CDC, and merge/upsert data loading strategies, with experience handling structured and semi‑structured data


• Advanced experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, data loading, query optimization, security, and warehouse management


• Hands‑on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, DAG development, scheduling, monitoring, and dependency management


• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications such as SnowPro Core, Databricks Data Engineer Professional, or Azure Data Engineer Associate are preferred


• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to design, deploy, and support scalable data solutions in an office‑based environment
