Job summary

Strike IT Recruitment Services is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join a Dubai-based organisation. This hands-on role focuses on delivering data solutions using Google BigQuery and SQL, with responsibilities spanning pipeline maintenance and data integrity.

You will analyse ETL/ELT flows, implement schema migrations, and work closely with business and marketing teams to ensure accurate downstream data and reliable data delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineer with production pipelines.
• Strong experience with BigQuery and SQL.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT architectures and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Perform impact analysis across data pipelines tracing dependencies.
• Develop, optimise complex SQL queries in Google BigQuery.
• Analyse source system extraction, ETL/ELT flows and data architecture.
• Assess and implement schema migrations and data structure changes.
• Design and execute regression testing for data accuracy.
• Estimate remediation effort and deliver prioritised plans.
• Coordinate with business, data, and marketing teams to deliver changes.
• Document data flows, dependencies, and test results.
