Job summary

NorthBay - Pakistan in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Data Classification Specialist to label and organize data, ensuring correct security classifications before client sharing. You will manage tools like Purview, IDMC, and Informatica to scan and tag data accurately.

Responsibilities include preparing clear client review reports, hosting audits, and coordinating with IT and database teams to fix mislabelled files. A 10–15 year background in data security is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, CS or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in data security, data governance, or IT auditing.
• Experience with data classification and security labeling.
• Experience with security audits (UAE PDPL, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Ability to explain technical security rules to clients and teams.
• High attention to detail and highly organized in handling sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Label and organize data by applying correct security labels.
• Manage data tools (Purview, IDMC, Informatica) to scan and tag data.
• Prepare client review reports showing data classification and protection.
• Host audits and act as technical contact for clients.
• Fix mislabelled files in collaboration with IT & database teams.
