Job summary

NorthBay Solutions is seeking a Data Classification Specialist in Abu Dhabi to label and organize data, ensuring proper security classifications before client sharing. You will manage classification tools, generate client-ready reports, and demonstrate data protection controls.

The role requires 7–8 years of experience in data security, governance or IT auditing, with strong SQL skills and audit knowledge. Onsite UAE work and close collaboration with IT and DB teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
• 7-8 years of experience in data security, data governance, or IT auditing.
• Strong communication to explain security rules to clients and teams.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized when handling sensitive documents.

Responsibilities

• Label and organize data with correct security labels across databases.
• Manage data classification tools (Purview, IDMC, etc.) to automate scanning and tagging.
• Prepare client reviews and clear reports showing data classifications and protections.
• Host audits as main technical contact for clients reviewing tools or files.
• Fix security gaps by coordinating with IT and DB teams on mislabelled files.
