Job summary

NorthBay Solutions is seeking a Data Classification Specialist to help label and protect data across client engagements. You will manage data classification tools, generate client-ready reports, and demonstrate data security controls during reviews.

The role requires 7-8 years of data security, governance or IT auditing experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with PDPL, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2. Onsite in Abu Dhabi. Clear communication with clients and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7-8 years of experience in data security, data governance, or IT auditing.
• Experience dealing with security audits or customer reviews (e.g., UAE PDPL, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Ability to clearly explain technical security rules to clients and internal teams.
• Highly organized and precise when handling sensitive documents.

Responsibilities

• Label and organize data: Scan databases to apply correct security labels.
• Manage security tools: Set up and run data tools to automate scanning and tagging.
• Prepare client reviews: Create reports showing data classification and protection.
• Host audits: Act as the main technical contact for client login and reviews.
• Fix security gaps: Collaborate with IT and DB teams to remediate issues.
