Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator for data center projects in the UAE. You will lead cost estimation from concept to detail, perform quantity take-offs from drawings and BIM models, and benchmark subcontractor bids to guide leadership decisions.

You will collaborate with design, preconstruction, procurement, and operations to validate scope and mitigate risks. The role requires 5–8+ years in MEP estimating, strong BIM and Estimating tool proficiency, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field
• 5–8+ years of MEP estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction
• Proven data center estimating experience (strong preference)
• Proficiency with BIM software (Revit, Navisworks) and estimating tools (Bluebeam, Touchplan)
• SQL or data analytics skills a plus; knowledge of PUE and redundancy tiers preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare Class 5–1 MEP cost estimates following AACE standards (conceptual through detailed)
• Execute detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specs, and BIM models
• Solicit, evaluate, benchmark subcontractor quotes; deliver commercial recommendations
• Collaborate with design engineers, preconstruction, procurement, and operations to validate scope
• Support value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize costs without compromising redundancy
• Maintain and evolve historical cost databases; prepare basis of estimate documents and client-ready presentations
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards, governance, and SOX/internal control requirements
