Job summary

Inception42, a G42 company, seeks a Credit Expert to become Product SME for Alpha, an investment and credit AI product. You will translate how banks assess corporate borrowers into reusable product capabilities and shape workflows, outputs and definitions used by PDP teams.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering and Applied Science to craft reference workflows and evaluation rubrics, validating concepts with bank users to ensure usefulness and adoption of the product capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in bank credit, corporate or commercial lending, credit risk or related advisory/tech role.
• Strong understanding of how banks assess creditworthiness: borrower/sector risk, cash flow, leverage, collateral.
• Knowledge of credit policies, risk ratings, papers, approvals, exceptions, renewals, monitoring.
• Ability to translate credit rationale into product requirements and outputs.
• Ability to review financial models and credit analysis critically.
• Comfort working with prototypes and AI-assisted tools, understanding retrieval, citations and AI reliability.
• Strong written communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics, accounting, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Map how relationship managers, credit analysts, risk teams and approvers assess borrowers and decisions in lending processes.
• Translate credit assessment practices into product requirements covering risk, repayment, facility structure and policy checks.
• Create reference workflows, annotated credit papers, question libraries and worked examples for product/tech teams.
• Advise the Product Manager on use cases, gaps and domain dependencies to prioritise capabilities.
• Define templates, risk-rating inputs, financial definitions, thresholds and approval steps for different banks and products.
• Work with Design, Science and Engineering on prototypes, user stories and acceptance criteria; validate with bank users.
• Specify data to be retrieved, questions to surface and the structure of outputs; guide financial spreading and covenant review.
• Lead domain discovery with bank users and design partners; test assumptions and gather actionable feedback.
