Job summary

Worley is seeking a Lead Cost Estimation Engineer for our Abu Dhabi project, responsible for leading all cost estimation activities from concept through execution. The role requires developing and validating Class 1–5 estimates, preparing CAPEX/OPEX, and driving cost optimization.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering with 15+ years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical, including 5+ years in GCC and ADNOC projects, and strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• 5+ years GCC region experience preferred.
• ADNOC projects and offshore developments experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimating techniques, benchmarking and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all cost estimation activities across project phases (conceptual to execution).
• Develop, review, and validate Class 1–5 cost estimates per project requirements.
• Prepare detailed CAPEX and OPEX estimates including material, labor, equipment, construction, indirect costs and contingency.
• Establish cost estimating methodologies, databases, norms and benchmarks for decision-making.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and project controls teams to ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate contractor and vendor estimates and provide technical recommendations.
• Perform cost risk and sensitivity analyses and estimation assurance reviews.
• Mentor and supervise a team of specialists, senior engineers, and engineers.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to support project objectives.
