Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring project costs, controlling budgets, and ensuring financial efficiency across high-rise building construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.


• Prepare and maintain project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports.


• Track actual costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.


• Review subcontractor payments, purchase orders, invoices, and material costs.


• Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.


• Support change order evaluations and assess financial impacts of project variations.


• Prepare monthly cost performance reports and management dashboards.


• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project timelines.


• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and project contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.


• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Controller in high-rise building construction projects.


• Strong understanding of construction costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.


• Experience with BOQs, progress billing, subcontractor management, and project cost tracking.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction ERP systems.


• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple project priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use high-rise developments.
