Job summary

Confidential in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Contracts Engineer to review, negotiate contracts, and manage change orders across complex construction projects.

You will ensure compliance with UAE laws and FIDIC, draft notices and claims, coordinate with legal and project teams, and guide junior contract staff while coordinating multiple contracts and meeting critical deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in contract administration or contract engineering in construction, preferably UAE/GCC.
• Experience in utility contracts, steel erection, or facility management projects is a plus.
• Solid understanding of UAE construction laws, FIDIC conditions, and international contracting standards.
• Fluency in English with strong drafting and reporting abilities.
• Should be open to relocate to UAE.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and change orders to ensure compliance with policies and UAE laws.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements with back-to-back clauses.
• Monitor contract compliance across all project phases and highlight potential issues.
• Draft and issue contract-related correspondence, notices, and claims, including EOT submissions.
• Collaborate with legal and project management teams to resolve contractual matters efficiently.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables.
• Provide contractual guidance to project teams to promote compliance and awareness.
