Job summary

SearchPlus HR is recruiting an experienced Consultant/Specialist Gastroenterologist with American Board certification for a leading UAE healthcare facility. The role involves diagnosing and managing GI and hepatobiliary diseases, and performing diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy within inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain UAE regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• American Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS preferred).
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
• Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Current professional registration/licence and Good Standing Certificate.
• Eligibility for UAE Consultant or Specialist classification.
• Awareness of UAE PQR recognizing ABMS as Tier 1 qualifications.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Manage complex gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide follow-up.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists and other specialists.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching and departmental activities.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE standards.
