Job summary

NADIA Recruitment & Management Consultants seeks a seasoned Procurement Officer to oversee end-to-end procurement for ongoing construction and engineering projects in Abu Dhabi. You will design sourcing strategies, evaluate vendors, and manage material deliveries while ensuring adherence to budgets and project timelines.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in MEP procurement, UAE market knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on procurement experience in construction or MEP in UAE/GCC.
• Familiarity with construction materials, MEP equipment, and local/international suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligning with project requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and subcontractors via market research and pre-qualification.
• Negotiate favorable terms to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, RFQs, and tender documents with project teams.
• Track requisitions, orders, and deliveries to ensure material availability.
• Maintain supplier database with performance records and pricing history.
• Ensure procurement compliance with policies and project specifications, with audits in mind.
• Coordinate with project, site, and finance to secure approvals and verify invoices.
• Analyze market trends to forecast risks and propose cost optimizations.
• Review material submittals and technical data for engineering and consultant alignment.
• Manage logistics and delivery coordination for timely site deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports on supplier performance and savings.
