Job summary

Euroclima is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain advanced CNC programs for precision machining in a busy production environment.

The role focuses on process improvements, cycle-time reduction, and hands-on shop-floor support, with mentorship provided to junior programmers and operators.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands-on CNC programming and machining experience in manufacturing.
• Strong command of G-code, M-code and CAM software; ability to interpret drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit and optimize CNC programs for turning, milling and other operations.
• Improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and document programs with revisions.
• Support shop floor with setups and guidance during first runs; mentor junior staff.

Core Focus: Developing, optimizing, and maintaining advanced CNC programs for precision machining, driving process improvements, reducing cycle times, and providing technical guidance to production teams and junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Programming & Process Optimization

Develop, edit, and optimize complex CNC programs for various machining operations (turning, milling, etc.).

Improve cycle times, minimize scrap material, and enhance overall shop floor productivity.

Maintain comprehensive program documentation and strict revision control.

Engineering & Technical Interpretation

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications.

Select appropriate cutting tools, optimize cutting parameters, and determine effective machining strategies.

Shop Floor Support & Troubleshooting

Perform initial machine setups and guide machine operators during first-time job runs.

Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues directly on the shop floor.

Train, mentor, and support junior CNC programmers and machine operators.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Continuous Improvement

Coordinate closely with production, quality assurance, and design teams to implement process improvements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all machining operations.

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Technical Competencies & Requirements

Programming & Software: Strong command of G-code, M-code, and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent).

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, material behaviors, and engineering drawing interpretation.

Core Skills: Advanced problem-solving, shop-floor troubleshooting, strong attention to detail, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

Experience: 5 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in CNC programming and machining within a manufacturing or production environment.
