Job summary

Amazon UAE is seeking a Senior Security Assurance Specialist to support compliance and security assurance for AWS services in the UAE. The role involves working with regulators and customers to demonstrate controls and regulatory alignment, and to translate complex security concepts into practical outcomes.

The candidate will contribute to a security program that meets global standards, collaborate across teams, and drive improvements in assurance practices within a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, Engineering, Math or related field.
• 5+ years of IT audits and assessments of highly technical cloud environments.
• 5+ years in highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, energy, telecom).
• Business level English and Arabic (verbal) proficiency.
• 5+ years in big data, DevOps, security, systems administration or cloud technology.
• 1+ industry certifications (CISA/CISM/CISSP/CCSP/Amazon Cloud Practitioner).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate AWS security controls to customers and regulators in UAE.
• Articulate control implementations and regulatory implications to auditors and customers.
• Collaborate with regulators, customers and audit teams to improve controls.
• Lead continuous improvements to the security program and processes.
• Apply knowledge of global security regulation to align with Amazon controls.
