The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns. The Senior Cerner Clinical Application Analyst plays a pivotal role in the implementation, support, and optimization of Cerner electronic health record (EHR) systems. This position involves working closely with clinical and IT teams to ensure that Cerner applications meet organizational needs and enhance patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

System Implementation & Configuration

• Configure and implement Cerner EHR applications tailored to clinical workflows.
• Build, test, and deploy Cerner modules (CPOE, Mpages, Carenet, EKM/Discern rules, Surginet and Anesthesia) and enhancements.
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and performance.

Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide advanced support to end-users, resolving complex issues.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system problems, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain system documentation and update configuration records.

Collaboration & Optimization

• Collaborate with healthcare providers and IT teams to optimize system functionality.
• Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and system enhancements.
• Serve as a technical resource for Cerner-related projects and upgrades.

Training & Documentation

• Develop and deliver training sessions for clinical staff.
• Create user guides and support materials for Cerner applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ Proven experience with Cerner Millennium (Powerchart, Carenet and CPOE).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Cerner certification preferred.
