Job summary

Penspen in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) to join the Core Engineering or PMT team. You will lead and delegate activities to support personnel and supervise offshore structural work under the guidance of a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer.

The role demands extensive experience in oil/gas offshore projects and PMC exposure; familiarity with construction and commissioning phases is valued; a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years total experience in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 6+ years in offshore oil and gas/ petrochemical structures
• PMC experience preferable
• Saudi Aramco Desktop Standards knowledge beneficial
• Construction/commissioning exposure beneficial
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Operate within Core Engineering Team or PMT environment and manage project activities
• Oversee and delegate work to onshore civil/structural personnel under supervision
• Report to Lead Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) and support project delivery

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer(Offshore) Job Description

Penspen www.penspen.com looking for a Senior Structural Engineer, The position is based in UAE, Abu dhabi.

The Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. The Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) may have engineer grade onshore civil/structural personnel under his responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel. The Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) may work under the supervision of a Lead Civil /Structural Engineer (Offshore) in which case his responsibilities will be as delegated.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)

• At least Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Civil / Structural Engineering related to structures for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Offshore projects.


• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.


• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.


• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.


• Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.
