Job summary

McDermott International in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Designer who will lead the design effort, coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, and deliver high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings for complex offshore/onshore projects.

You will ensure compliance with MDR, project specs, safety standards, and client requirements, while guiding the design team across MOPEX environments and liaising with engineers, vendors, and auditors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience with major contractor or consultant, including 5+ years in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of 3D/2D drafting and model coordination (AutoCAD/MicroStation).
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate design teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent in Civil/Structural disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Civil/Structural drawings and 3D models.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines in MOPEX environment.
• Lead the design team and supervise Designers.
• Ensure designs meet MDR, project specs and safety standards.
