Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd in Dubai seeks a Principal Structural Engineer – Design to lead FEED, detailed design, structural analysis, design verification, and discipline execution across complex EPC projects, offshore and onshore.

You will translate project requirements into reliable calculations, specifications, technical reports, and deliverables that meet client, code, safety, cost, and schedule expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
• 15–20 years oil & gas experience in structural engineering or EPC leadership.
• Strong background in detailed structural design for offshore/onshore projects.
• Fluent English communication; capable of mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed structural analyses and design per project specs.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Lead medium to large engineering teams and manage discipline execution.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Discipline Manager, and other disciplines.
• Ensure deliverables meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.
