Job summary

James Cubitt MENA seeks an experienced Civil Inspector to join our Site Supervision Team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive civil and structural inspections, site supervision, and QA/QC expertise within UAE building projects.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of drawings, specs, ITPs, and IRs, with a proven track record in ensuring compliance and quality on-site. UAE-based candidates only, with strong coordination and documentation skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of civil engineering site inspection experience.
Must have UAE consultancy exposure and UAE building codes knowledge.
Based in UAE with strong QA/QC and documentation skills.
Experience with ITPs and IRs will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure civil works meet drawings, specs, and project requirements.
Inspect structural works including foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete casting, and related activities.
Review and verify Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with ITPs and approved method statements.
Verify materials, workmanship, and construction quality against project specs.
Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
Monitor site progress and report to the Resident Engineer.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and UAE authority regulations.
