James Cubitt MENA seeks an experienced Civil Inspector to join our Site Supervision Team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive civil and structural inspections, site supervision, and QA/QC expertise within UAE building projects.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of drawings, specs, ITPs, and IRs, with a proven track record in ensuring compliance and quality on-site. UAE-based candidates only, with strong coordination and documentation skills.

Formación

• Minimum 10+ years of civil engineering site inspection experience.
• Must have UAE consultancy exposure and UAE building codes knowledge.
• Based in UAE with strong QA/QC and documentation skills.
• Experience with ITPs and IRs will be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure civil works meet drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Inspect structural works including foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete casting, and related activities.
• Review and verify Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with ITPs and approved method statements.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and construction quality against project specs.
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
• Monitor site progress and report to the Resident Engineer.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and UAE authority regulations.

Job description

James Cubitt MENA is seeking an experienced and qualified Civil Inspector to join our Site Supervision

Team in Abu Dhabi.The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in civil and structural

inspections, site supervision, and quality control, with a strong background in building construction

projects within the UAE.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering and site inspection.
• Engineering Consultancy experience in the UAE is mandatory.
• Must be currently based in the UAE.
• Proven experience in building construction and site supervision projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural works, construction methodologies, and specifications.
• Good understanding of UAE building codes, authority regulations, and project standards.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures, inspection requests, and site documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure civil works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Inspect structural works, including foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete casting, and related activities.
• Review and verify Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with approved method statements and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Verify materials, workmanship, and construction quality against project specifications.
• Identify non-conformities, defective works, and deviations, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
• Monitor site progress and report any technical or quality-related issues to the Resident Engineer.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to resolve site-related technical issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and applicable UAE authority regulations.
