ALSUWEIDI Engineering Consultants is seeking a Civil Inspector for our Abu Dhabi project. Immediate joiners preferred. You will supervise Contractor activities on site, ensure quality, safety, and timely progress in line with approved drawings and ITPs.

The role requires strong plans interpretation, clear communication, and diligent record-keeping. Experience in UAE and consultancy is essential; Abu Dhabi experience is a must.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years total experience.
• Minimum 5 years UAE experience, Abu Dhabi experience preferred.
• Experience in engineering consultancy environment.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise Contractor on site per shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs.
• Ensure QA/QC of materials and workmanship on site.
• Maintain progress records and assist interim payments review.
• Report issues affecting cost or time and liaise with Contractor.
• Adhere to HSE rules and ensure Contractor compliance.
• Review daily and weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Attend site meetings and maintain Quality System standards.
• Carry out inspections during snagging, de-snagging, and handover.

We are seeking a Civil Inspector to join our supervision team for our project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and timeline requirements.

Availability: Immediate joiners preferred

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise, monitor and inspect all activities carried out by the Contractor on site in accordance with the approved shop drawings, materials, method statements and ITPs.
• Ensure that the materials and workmanship of executed works on site meet to the required levels of quality.
• Maintain regular records of actual work progress on site to assist the review and evaluation of Contractor’s submitted interim payments.
• Make special notes and report on any issues on site that may trigger cost or time claims.
• Liaise with the Contractor team in a fair and firm manner.
• Adhere to the approved HSE rules and procedures on site and ensure Contractor’s team compliance with the same.
• Review and verify the daily reports submitted by the Contractor and keep records of the same.
• Witness and supervise materials sampling and testing procedures, and inspect and keep records of the delivered materials to site.
• Resolve daily generated site issues in coordination with the Resident Engineer.
• Check and approve the 'Day work’ records submitted by the Contractor.
• Review and comment on the Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports submitted by the Contractor.
• Attend site technical and progress meetings as may be directed and requested by the Resident Engineer.
• Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
• Carry out all the necessary inspections during the snagging, de-snagging and handing over processes of the project and maintain records of the same to assist the issuance of taking over Certificate accordingly.
• Inspect and keep records of the rectification works carried out by the Contractor during the Defects Liability Period.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of total experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the UAE

Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering consultancy

Experience in Abu Dhabi is a must

Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and equipment.

Ability to read/interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints.

Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Ability to maintain accurate project records.
