Job summary

POWERCHINA Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd - Dubai Branch is seeking a Senior Civil Draftsman to support power and solar EPC projects in Dubai. The role requires hands-on drafting with Civil 3D and advanced AutoCAD to produce construction-ready civil and infrastructure drawings.

The candidate should have a Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering and 5–7 years of relevant experience, with ability to work from surveys, calculations and markups to IFC and As-Built

Qualifications

• Diploma/technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of civil drafting experience.
• Advanced AutoCAD 2D/3D – mandatory.
• Strong hands-on Autodesk Civil 3D experience – mandatory.
• Experience preparing IFC, Construction, Shop/Detail and As-Built drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site grading & earthworks drawings and related civil infrastructure plans.
• Develop existing/proposed surfaces and road and access layouts.
• Produce drainage and utility corridor layouts.
• Create foundations and structure support drawings for sites.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines on drawing revisions.
• Deliver construction-ready IFC, shop/detail and as-built drawings from calculations and survey data.

Senior Civil Draftsman – Power / Solar EPC

Location: Dubai, UAE

Industry: Power | Renewable Energy | Infrastructure EPC

POWERCHINA JEPCC – MEA Regional HQ is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Draftsman to support utility-scale Power, Solar PV and infrastructure EPC projects.

This is a hands-on technical drafting position. We are looking for candidates with strong Civil 3D capability and proven experience delivering construction-ready civil and infrastructure drawings.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma / Technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting or related discipline
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant Civil Drafting experience
• Advanced AutoCAD 2D/3D – Mandatory
• Strong hands-on Autodesk Civil 3D experience – Mandatory
• Proven project experience preparing:
• Site grading & earthworks
• Existing / proposed surfaces
• Roads & access tracks
• Drainage
• Utility corridors
• Underground utilities
• Foundations
• Site development drawings
• Able to independently prepare IFC, Construction, Shop/Detail and As-Built drawings
• Able to work from engineering calculations/designs, survey data, coordinates, mark-ups and site information
• Good understanding of drawing standards, revisions and multidisciplinary coordination
• Good technical English
  

Highly Preferred Experience

Candidates with hands-on experience in one or more of the following will be given preference:

Power EPC | Substations | Utility-Scale Solar PV | BESS | Transmission & Distribution | Utility Infrastructure

Experience with the following is particularly valuable:

Cable Trenches | Duct Banks | Equipment / Transformer Foundations | Control Buildings | Inverter Stations | Substation Civil Works | Solar MMS / Tracker Foundations

Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360 will be an advantage.

Important: General architectural drafting experience alone will not be sufficient for this position.
