Job summary

Wood is hiring Senior Construction Superintendents – Civil to support a major oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi. You will provide field leadership and oversight for all civil construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence on site.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of site-based experience, strong leadership, and a proven record managing EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil required.
• 15+ years in oil & gas or industrial projects.
• Experience supervising major civil works.
• Proven EPC contractor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all civil construction activities on site, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Ensure works comply with project drawings, specs, procedures, standards, and regs.
• Promote a strong safety culture and comply with HSEQ requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance and progress to meet milestones.
• Coordinate earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, utilities, roads and drainage.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans.
