Job summary

SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. seeks an experienced Nurse Leader to oversee nursing operations within a ward/unit, ensuring bed allocation and skill mix match patient condition and shift demands.

You will take a lead role in coordinating hospital services during your shift. Responsibilities include providing leadership for the nursing team, collaborating with non-nursing departments, and chairing interdisciplinary committees as required.

Qualifications

• NLT 6 years clinical experience in an appropriate & relevant healthcare settings post qualification.
• NLT2 year in Senior Charge Nurse (S. C.N.) position, OR
• NLT 3 years in a Charge Nurse Position.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for nursing team within ward/unit and reports all issues to the senior charge nurse/unit manager.
• Collaborates with personnel from non-nursing department/disciplines regarding issues that may negatively impact patient care; facilitate solutions as needed.
• Participates in committees, task forces that are interdisciplinary or interdepartmental; may be required to chair, co-chair or lead such groups.
• Facilitates effective patient flow utilizing bed capacity and staffing resources appropriately; monitors and reviews staff skill mix and aligns staffing and workload with patient acuity.
• Promotes continuity of care that is patient centered and outcome oriented; ensures quality standards of nursing documentation are maintained; performs hospital rounds to guide teams in clinical and operational management.
