Job summary

Etihad Airways is seeking a Cargo Revenue Accounting Officer based in Al Ain to oversee the end-to-end cargo revenue accounting cycle, ensuring accurate billing, reconciliation, and reporting in line with IATA guidelines.

You will lead a team, maintain strong controls, and collaborate with Cargo Operations, Commercial, and Finance to ensure revenue completeness and timely reporting. A strong background in airline revenue processes is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is typically required.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in cargo revenue accounting or related airline revenue function, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of airline cargo revenue processes, interline process, CASS, SIS or relevant financial systems, billing, reconciliation, revenue adjustments, financial controls and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely cargo revenue, billing and accounting activities.
• Ensure transactions are recorded and processed in accordance with timelines and controls.
• Ensure timely billing in SIS as per IATA guidelines.
• Monitor billing cycles and address delays or exceptions.
• Ensure reconciliation between CASS, SAP and other systems.
• Identify, investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies.
• Maintain strong financial controls for revenue completeness and accuracy.
• Oversee revenue adjustments and corrections, including CCA and approvals.
• Oversee CASS-related revenue accounting activities and non-CASS processes.
• Monitor related fees, commissions and other revenue components.
• Conduct quality control over team activities and revenue accounting transactions.
• Identify control gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, coach and develop team members; plan leave and ensure backup coverage.
