Job summary

Azizi Developments seeks an experienced BIM Specialist to develop and coordinate detailed BIM models for interior fit-out and joinery projects. You will produce shop drawings and fabrication drawings, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and compliance with design specifications.

The role requires strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in Navisworks for clash detection. Collaboration with design, engineering, production, and site teams is essential to deliver fabrication-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of BIM modeling experience, preferably in interior fit-out, joinery or manufacturing projects.
• Relevant UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of shop drawings, joinery detailing, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications, and design intent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for interior fit-out, joinery, cabinetry, wall panels, doors, ceilings and partitions.
• Prepare detailed shop, fabrication, assembly and installation drawings based on approved designs.
• Create accurate models suitable for manufacturing, with correct dimensions, materials, and connections.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with design managers, engineers, production, and site teams for fabrication feasibility.
• Develop detailed joinery and fit-out components with material specs, hardware, cutting and assembly details.
• Ensure BIM models and shop drawings reflect design revisions and approved changes.
• Perform model reviews and quality checks to identify errors and coordination issues.
• Support material take-offs, quantity schedules, and BOQs from BIM models as needed.

Job Purpose

To develop, coordinate, and manage detailed Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and shop drawings for interior fit-out and joinery manufacturing projects. The role ensures that all BIM models, technical drawings, and fabrication details meet project requirements, design specifications, and manufacturing standards while supporting coordination between design, engineering, production, and site installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for interior fit-out, joinery, cabinetry, wall panels, doors, ceilings, partitions, and other architectural elements.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings based on approved designs and project specifications.
• Create accurate models suitable for manufacturing, ensuring that dimensions, materials, connections, and construction details are properly represented.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to identify and resolve clashes and design discrepancies.
• Review architectural drawings, design documents, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with design managers, project engineers, production teams, and site teams to ensure that models and drawings are practical for fabrication and installation.
• Develop detailed joinery and fit-out components, including material specifications, hardware details, cutting details, and assembly requirements.
• Ensure that all BIM models and shop drawings are updated in line with design revisions and approved changes.
• Conduct model reviews and quality checks to identify errors, inconsistencies, and coordination issues before releasing drawings for production.
• Support the preparation of material take-offs, quantity schedules, and bills of quantities from BIM models, where required.
• Ensure timely submission of shop drawings and fabrication details in accordance with project schedules.
• Maintain organized BIM files, drawing registers, revision histories, and project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to BIM Modelers and junior drafting team members.
• Support production and installation teams by resolving technical queries and clarifying fabrication or installation details.
• Ensure compliance with company BIM standards, project requirements, and quality procedures.
