SSH is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator – Mechanical to drive coordination of Mechanical BIM models on hospitality, residential, and high-rise developments. You will ensure BEP compliance, model quality, and timely delivery across disciplines.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and advanced Revit/Navisworks use in a fast-paced design environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• 8+ years of BIM/MEP experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience coordinating Mechanical, Architectural, Structural disciplines.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage coordination.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and CDE workflows.
• Proficiency with Revit and Navisworks for clash detection.

Job Summary

SSH is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator – Mechanical to support the delivery of complex building projects across hospitality, residential, mixed-use and other large-scale developments. The role will be responsible for coordinating Mechanical BIM models, ensuring design information is accurately developed, integrated and coordinated across disciplines, while maintaining SSH BIM standards and project-specific BIM requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Mechanical BIM models across HVAC, plumbing, drainage and associated building services.
• Develop, review and manage discipline models throughout the various stages of design.
• Coordinate Mechanical models with Architecture, Structure, Electrical and other disciplines to identify and resolve design interfaces.
• Perform clash detection and coordination reviews, track issues and support their timely resolution.
• Ensure models comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), modelling standards, LOD requirements and naming conventions.
• Review models for accuracy, constructability, spatial coordination and adherence to engineering design intent.
• Support Mechanical engineers and designers in developing coordinated BIM deliverables.
• Manage model federation, coordination workflows and BIM issue tracking.
• Produce and review drawings, schedules and other documentation extracted from BIM models.
• Conduct regular model audits and quality checks to maintain model integrity and data accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams, external consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Support BIM Managers/Leads in implementing SSH BIM standards, workflows and best practices.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to BIM Coordinators and Modellers within the Mechanical team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of relevant BIM/MEP experience, with strong exposure to multidisciplinary building projects.
• Demonstrable experience coordinating Mechanical services on large-scale hospitality, residential, mixed-use or high-rise developments.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and mechanical building services coordination.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Strong working knowledge of Navisworks Manage for multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection.
• Experience working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) and structured BIM workflows.
• Familiarity with BIM standards and processes, including ISO 19650, would be advantageous.
• Experience within a leading architectural, engineering or multidisciplinary design consultancy is preferred.

Ideal candidate profile: A technically strong Mechanical BIM professional who goes beyond modelling and can independently review, coordinate and drive resolution of MEP interfaces across Architecture, Structure and other building-services disciplines.
