Job summary

Azizi Developments in Dubai seeks a skilled MEP BIM Coordinator to lead the development, coordination, and quality control of MEP BIM models for residential and high-rise projects, ensuring clash detection, model integrity, and constructability with consultants and site teams.

You will coordinate with MEP consultants, review shop drawings, lead ICE BIM coordination meetings, and ensure compliance with ISO 19650/BS 1192 and client standards; UAE experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP BIM coordination, with a strong focus on residential and high-rise tower construction projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM 360/ACC or similar CDE platforms.
• Strong understanding of ISO 19650 / BS 1192 BIM standards and LOD frameworks.
• Solid technical knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical, Low Current) in vertical/high-rise building typologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and coordinate MEP BIM models (Revit/Navisworks) in line with BEP and LOD requirements.
• Conduct multidisciplinary clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and drive timely resolution with design and site teams.
• Coordinate with MEP consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure model accuracy and constructability for high-rise projects.
• Review and validate shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and MEP models against design intent and site conditions.
• Attend and lead BIM coordination meetings (ICE sessions) and document issues and actions.
• Ensure BIM models comply with project standards, naming conventions, and data requirements (BS 1192 / ISO 19650).
• Extract and manage MEP quantities, coordinate drawings, and 2D outputs for construction and procurement.
• Support MEP site teams with coordinated model outputs, spatial coordination guidance, and clash resolution reports.
• Maintain version control and model federation across disciplines using a CDE platform.
• Coordinate with the BIM Manager to align with overall BIM strategy and milestones.
• Identify and flag potential MEP design/coordination risks early, especially for high-rise vertical distribution.

As MEP BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the development, coordination, and quality control of MEP BIM models across residential and high-rise tower projects — ensuring accurate clash detection, model integrity, and constructability in close collaboration with consultants, contractors, and site teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and coordinate MEP BIM models (Revit/Navisworks) in line with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and LOD requirements.
• Conduct multidisciplinary clash detection and coordination (MEP vs. Architecture/Structure) using Navisworks or similar tools, and drive timely resolution with design and site teams.
• Coordinate with MEP consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure model accuracy and constructability, particularly for high-rise/vertical construction (risers, shafts, plant rooms, ceiling voids).
• Review and validate shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and MEP models against design intent and site conditions.
• Attend and lead BIM coordination meetings (ICE sessions), documenting issues, decisions, and action items.
• Ensure BIM models comply with project standards, naming conventions, and data requirements (BS 1192 / ISO 19650 or client-specific standards).
• Extract and manage MEP quantities, coordinate drawings, and 2D outputs from BIM models for construction and procurement use.
• Support MEP site teams by providing coordinated model outputs, spatial coordination guidance, and clash resolution reports.
• Maintain version control and manage model federation across disciplines using Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
• Coordinate with the BIM Manager to ensure adherence to overall project BIM strategy and delivery milestones.
• Identify and flag potential MEP design/coordination risks early, especially those specific to high-rise vertical distribution and services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP BIM coordination, with a strong focus on residential and high-rise tower construction projects.
• Proven UAE experience is essential, with familiarity with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, Trakhees, etc. as applicable).
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM 360/ACC or similar CDE platforms.
• Strong understanding of ISO 19650 / BS 1192 BIM standards and LOD frameworks.
• Solid technical knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical, Low Current) in vertical/high-rise building typologies.
