Job summary

Marcura seeks a Senior Back-End Software Engineer to own architecture, design, and testing of scalable Compliance and RegTech solutions. You will build secure, high-performance APIs using Django REST Framework/Python to streamline onboarding, risk assessment, and regulatory screening.

You will ensure robust APIs, seamless integrations, and regulatory alignment (GDPR, ISO 27001). The role emphasizes secure coding, shift-left testing, and automation, collaborating with product managers, UX

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree is a plus, especially in software engineering or data science.
• Prior training or certifications in Django REST Framework, Cloud platforms, or DevOps are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and own APIs powering onboarding, screening, and entity intelligence with performance, versioning, and auditability.
• Expand product functionality with data-driven capabilities like search and risk scoring without compromising stability.
• Integrate ElasticSearch for advanced query performance and analytics at scale.
• Integrate with data platforms/services to support risk assessment and compliance automation.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and compliance specialists to align tech with business goals.
• Implement shift-left testing with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; no separate QA teams.
• Adopt secure coding, GDPR ISO 27001 compliance, and automation practices.
• Ensure security, scalability and maintainability of full-stack apps.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, ETL, and regulatory compliance in data-driven apps.
• Stay updated with AI/LLM, full-stack development, and compliance automation.
