Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Architect - Interior Design with extensive on-site supervision to lead interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, timelines, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in interior design/architecture, 5+ years in site supervision, and strong CAD/3D visualization skills. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in interior design and architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on site supervision and project management experience.
• Proven expertise in commercial and/or residential interior design projects.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software and 3D visualization tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and building systems.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and local design standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of interior design projects on-site, ensuring quality standards and project specifications are met
• Lead and mentor design and construction teams, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with design documentation and UAE building codes
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to resolve design challenges and ensure seamless project execution
• Prepare and review detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and material schedules
• Manage project budgets and timelines, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Communicate project progress, updates, and concerns to stakeholders and senior management
• Customize design solutions to meet client requirements while maintaining architectural integrity and feasibility
• Oversee procurement of materials and finishes, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
• Document project milestones and maintain comprehensive project records for compliance and reference
