Job summary

AECOM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Architect to drive architectural excellence across large-scale projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, translate strategic objectives into design solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance and project delivery from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent; professional architecture license/registration required.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in architectural design, project delivery, and team leadership.
• Experience in the Middle East; familiarity with UAE construction practices and standards is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate comprehensive architectural strategies and design visions for complex projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and design professionals, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Conduct design analysis and feasibility studies using CAD and BIM to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design challenges from concept to completion.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE building codes, international standards, and regulatory requirements for Dubai projects.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation while maintaining quality.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and site inspections to verify construction aligns with designs.
• Communicate project status and insights to senior management and clients clearly.
• Stay current with architectural trends, sustainable design practices, and BIM technologies.
• Mentor junior architects and support their professional development.
• Manage contract administration including change orders and warranty documentation.
• Implement corrective actions for deviations from specifications and track resolution.

Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Architect to join our dynamic organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. • Develop and articulate comprehensive architectural strategies and design visions for complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client objectives
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and design professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and creative excellence
• Conduct detailed design analysis and feasibility studies, utilizing advanced CAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to optimize project outcomes
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design challenges and ensure seamless project execution from concept through completion
• Ensure all architectural designs comply with UAE building codes, international standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to Dubai projects
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation to guarantee design intent is preserved throughout project delivery
• Conduct quality assurance audits and site inspections to verify that construction aligns with approved designs and contractual specifications
• Communicate project status, design recommendations, and strategic insights to senior management and clients with clarity and transparency
• Stay current with emerging architectural trends, sustainable design practices, and innovative technologies to enhance organizational competitiveness
• Mentor junior architects and support their professional development through constructive feedback and knowledge sharing
• Manage contract administration responsibilities, including change orders, design modifications, and warranty documentation
• Implement corrective actions when deviations from specifications are identified and track resolution to completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent professional qualification; professional architecture license or registration is required
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in architectural design, project delivery, and team leadership
• Experience in the Middle East, markets is highly desirable; familiarity with UAE construction practices and standards is a significant advantage
