Job summary

ADNOC Group in United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, seeks a Senior Contracts Manager to review, negotiate and optimize contractual terms across tenders and new opportunities, ensuring alignment with DOA and internal policies. You will lead contract reviews, manage risk, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to secure favorable outcomes while maintaining governance and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of professional experience in Contract/Procurement in a large organization, preferably in Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Good knowledge of Contracts & Tendering practices & procedures.
  • Good understanding of regulation, legal terms, and control and other relevant legal guidelines.
  • Very good contract negotiation and preparation skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience in conflict avoidance and contracts dispute resolution.
  • Global perspective of Oil & Gas business environment and technology.
  • Leadership skills, and effective written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyse and advise on all matters related to contracts, tenders and new opportunities in support of managing the agreements and enhancing the policies & procedures within.
  • Review contracts change requests and assure all requirements are in line with the centralized policies in the organization and DOA.
  • Review and advise on new frame agreements in liaison with respective divisions & departments within GS&A.
  • Attend internal and external meetings and prepare accurate records of discussions and actions; ensure timely management of design to meet project requirements.
  • Review, verify contract closure process in line with Organization Policies including Provision Acceptance, Final Acceptance and Completion certificates before releasing the Performance Bank guarantee.
  • Communicate, coordinate and collaborate with the organization’s focal points to ensure implementation and compliance to contractual terms and policies.
  • Monitor tenders/contracts activities across Group S&A Departments to ensure consistency.
  • Oversee the overall GS&A contracts reviews and approvals process within the Group S&A.
  • Lead /conduct periodic reviews and amendments for agreements, extensions and variations for GS&A management information.
  • Monitor the contracts framework agreements and the saving amounts.
  • Provide inputs to MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
Contracts Management
  • Review, analyse and advise on all matters related to contracts, tenders and new opportunities in support of managing the agreements and enhancing the policies & procedures within.

  • Review, verify contract closure process is in line with Organization Policies in regards to reviewing and verifying the Provision Acceptance certificate, Final Acceptance certificate and Complication Certificate before releasing the Performance Bank guarantee.
  • Communicate, coordinate and collaborate with the organization’s focal points to ensure implementation and compliance to contractual terms and policies.
  • Monitor tenders/contracts activities across Group S&A Departments to ensure that consistency is maintained.

  • Review/ verify the Award recommendation including the technical and commercial evaluations for non-commercial agreements to ensure that they meet business requirements and are in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Review Provision Acceptance certificate, Final Acceptance certificate and complication certificate for correctness and to release the Performance bank guarantee by Group treasury and risk management function.
  • Lead /conduct periodic reviews and amendments for agreements, extensions and variations for GS&A management information.

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
  • Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

  • Regular work related contact with concerned Section Head, Manager, and VP, as required, peer professional staff, and team members on matters related to department policies and processes, people, HSE, risks management, and domain specific issues.

  • Contacts counterparts of the ADNOC Group, as required.
  • Regular contact with local and international Suppliers and third party service providers to establish relationships or to obtain supply of goods and/or services.
Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
