Job summary

Daikin Middle East & Africa FZE invites a Senior Industrial Refrigeration Design Engineer to lead ammonia-based system design and optimization for large-scale applications in Dubai. You will develop and review P&IDs, sizing calculations, and equipment selections while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial refrigeration design, strong thermodynamics knowledge, and CAD fluency with AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Revit.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience designing industrial refrigeration systems (Ammonia-focused).
Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer.
Proficient with CAD design tools for refrigeration layouts.

Responsibilities

Design and develop industrial refrigeration systems focusing on Ammonia NH3.
Perform thermal load calculations, sizing, and component selection.
Create and review P&IDs, flow diagrams, layouts, and drawings.
Analyze performance and optimize system efficiency.
Ensure compliance with refrigeration codes and standards (ASHRAE, GCC, local).
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PMs, electrical engineers, site teams).
Provide technical support for project execution, troubleshooting, commissioning.
Assist in cost estimation, material selection, and vendor coordination.
Stay updated on industry advancements and propose improvements.
Lead or mentor junior engineers.
