Job summary

Artelia in Dubai, UAE, is seeking an experienced Pavement/Road Engineer to design and evaluate airfield pavements (flexible, rigid, composite) and support heavy-duty apron and stand pavements. You will use Civil 3D/OpenRoads and pavement tools (FAARFIELD, COMFAA, BAKFAA, ELMOD, MicroPAVER, PAVEAIR) to deliver lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, and integrated design with drainage and utilities.

The role requires at least eight years of civil-engineering experience with airfield pavement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognised institution.
Master’s degree in pavement, highway or geotechnical engineering is advantageous.
Eight years of relevant civil-engineering design experience with airfield pavements.

Responsibilities

Advanced design & analysis of flexible, rigid, and composite airfield pavements using industry tools.
Geotechnical interpretation and condition assessment for materials and structures.
Lifecycle management and rehab planning for airfield pavement systems and assets.
Landside design including roads, circulation layouts, and parking interfaces.
Construction quality assurance through reviews of mix designs and site inspections.
Digital & AI-enabled engineering workflows to speed up option studies and reporting.
