Job summary

AppliedAI in Abu Dhabi is seeking an AI Workflow Engineering Architect to lead the design and optimization of Opus workflows. You will focus on ML-intensive processes, defining execution boundaries, dependencies, and cost-conscious latency targets.

You will mentor Workflow Engineers, establish engineering standards, conduct architecture reviews, and drive production performance improvements across regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, and government.

Qualifications

• Senior-level ML and software engineering background with production ML systems experience.
• Strong focus on latency, throughput, and cost as engineering disciplines.
• Experience mentoring engineers and establishing technical standards.
• Familiarity with multi-model orchestration and model routing across providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead decomposition of business processes into Opus workflow graphs with clear boundaries and failure paths.
• Define constrained optimization points for accuracy, latency, and operational reliability.
• Establish methods for model selection, routing, and heterogeneous execution strategies.
• Drive production measurement, profiling, and optimization of workflows and components.
• Develop engineering standards and train the team in performance optimization and deployment practices.
