Job summary

Coinbase is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead the finance function for our tokenized equities product. You will own the end-to-end accounting, reporting, controls, and systems development for a regulated launch in Abu Dhabi.

This senior IC role collaborates across Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and external auditors. Ideal candidates have CPA/CA, strong regulated finance background, and proven ability to establish new accounting processes for novel products and regulatory regimes.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting or finance experience in a regulated setting (capital markets, broker-dealer, exchange, custody, clearing, or digital assets).
• Experience working directly with a financial regulator - inquiries, exams, or filings.
• Proven ability to apply accounting rules to new or complex products.
• Experience building new finance processes for a new product, entity, or regulatory regime.

Responsibilities

• Build the accounting model from the ground up - token issuance, redemption, asset tracking, and close.
• Own regulatory compliance and FSRA reporting, coordinating with regulator and internal teams.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Treasury, FP&A, and Finance Data to ensure accurate flows.
• Approve funds movement, posting rules, account setup, ledger structure, reconciliations, and reporting pre-launch.
• Lead accounting analysis for new structures under US GAAP and IFRS, including dividends and balance sheet impact.
• Build the reporting framework for the issuer entity, including IFRS financials and local filings.
• Set up a robust control environment for a regulated launch with audit trails and data integrity.
