Job summary

Coinbase is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead the finance function for its tokenized equities product. You will own the accounting and reporting model from ground up, coordinating across Tax, Treasury, FP&A, controllership, and external auditors.

This senior individual contributor role requires building robust controls, navigating regulatory requirements, and partnering with Product, Legal, and Engineering to scale new structures in a rapidly evolving market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA or similar preferred.
• Experience in regulated financial settings (capital markets, broker-dealer, exchange, custody, or digital assets).
• Experience working with a financial regulator – inquiries, exams, or filings.

Responsibilities

• Build the accounting model for token issuance/redemption, asset tracking, intercompany flows, and close.
• Own regulatory compliance and FSRA reporting; liaise with regulator for consistent rules understanding.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Treasury, FP&A, and Finance Data to ensure accurate, controlled, scalable flows.
• Sign off on funds flow, posting rules, ledger structure, reconciliations, and reporting before launch.
• Lead accounting analysis for US GAAP and IFRS, including dividends, splits, and balance sheet treatment.
• Build the reporting framework for issuer entity, including IFRS financials, local filings, and external audit support.
• Set up a control environment for a regulated launch with audit trails and data integrity across on-chain/off-chain systems.
• Identify accounting, controls, and reporting risks early with clear owners and plans.
