Job summary

Maitha General Trading LLC in Dubai is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close for a trading/pharma oriented business. You will ensure GAAP-compliant statements, optimize cash flow, implement internal controls, and support budgeting and tax compliance while guiding a small team and collaborating with management.

Qualifications

• CA Inter or graduate with UAE accounting experience (5+ years for CA Inter, 10+ years for Graduate)
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical/reporting capabilities
• Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end closing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP to ensure transparency and provide insights for strategic decision-making
• Lead the month-end close process ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time to maintain operational efficiency
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes including timely invoicing and follow-up for collections to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding debts
• Conduct detailed variance analysis identifying trends and discrepancies and presenting actionable recommendations to management for improved financial performance
• Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations to mitigate financial risks
• Assist in the annual budgeting process by providing historical data analysis and forecasting to support organizational growth objectives
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accuracy and integrity

Qualifications

• Graduate with a minimum of 10+ years of UAE accounting experience, OR CA Inter with a minimum of 5+ years of UAE accounting experience
• Strong experience in Trading / Pharmaceutical companies preferred
• Excellent knowledge of UAE VAT
• Good working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations and month-end closing
