Job summary
Al-Futtaim Group in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Senior Accountant - Record to Report to manage monthly closings, balance sheet substantiation and management reporting for automotive units. You will improve RTR processes, review Trial Balance accounts and support audits and financial statement preparation.
The role requires CPA or ACCA with 2–3 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and SAP proficiency.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA with 2–3 years of relevant experience in a large organisation.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP proficiency is important, SAP BW and SAP BPC will be valuable.
- Strong analytical ability, ability to prioritise deadlines and collaborate with finance teams and external auditors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the monthly closing of books for automotive business units.
- Review key Trial Balance accounts and verify balance substantiation.
- Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Standardise Record to Report accounting processes.
- Improve fixed asset accounting and month-end reporting controls.
- Prepare accurate monthly management reports using approved templates.
- Add commentary explaining financial movements and exceptions.
- Coordinate external audits and provide supporting schedules.
- Assist with standalone financial statements for automotive entities.
- Follow governance requirements issued by Group Finance.
