Job summary

Confidential Company in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE is seeking an experienced accountant to handle financial reporting, tax compliance, and general ledger maintenance. The role requires CPA or equivalent certification and at least 3 years of corporate accounting experience, with SAP proficiency.

The candidate will manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations, budgeting support, and assist in audits and financial analysis to drive business decisions. UAE-based candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software SAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing insights for management.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to maintain accurate financial records.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting; gather necessary data; monitor budget performance, identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and file tax returns; ensure timely submissions and minimizing liabilities; stay updated on tax laws.
• Assist in internal and external audit processes; implement audit recommendations to improve controls.
• Conduct financial analyses to support business decisions, including cost and profitability analyses; financial modeling.

Education
