Job summary

Tannir LLC is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage the complete accounting function for our Dubai entity. This position involves full-cycle accounting tasks, including daily bookkeeping, tax filings, and audit preparation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, along with a degree in Accounting or Finance. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-spectrum accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE.
• Solid working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience managing an external audit from the client side.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting for the Dubai entity.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Accountant to own the full accounting function of our Dubai entity. You will be the go‑to person for everything from daily bookkeeping to tax filings and audit. This is a role for someone who can run accounting end‑to‑end independently, not supervise a large team.

Responsibilities

• Full‑cycle accounting
• Accounts payable (AP)
• Accounts receivable (AR)
• General ledger
• Bank and payment‑gateway reconciliations
• Inventory accounting
• Month‑end and year‑end close including accruals, prepayments and intercompany entries
• Monthly management reporting (PL, balance sheet, cash flow)
• UAE VAT preparation and filing of returns
• FTA compliance
• UAE Corporate Tax registration compliance, provisioning and return preparation
• Payroll processing and WPS compliance
• Preparation of audit files and primary liaison with external auditors
• Multi‑currency transactions and intercompany reconciliations with group entities
• Improving accounting processes, controls and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA, CA or CPA qualified or finalist strongly preferred
• 5+ years of full‑spectrum accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE
• Solid working knowledge of UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax (practical filing experience, not just theory)
• Experience managing an external audit from the client side
• Strong Excel; experience with cloud accounting systems (e.g. Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP)
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Currently based in the UAE with immediately transferable visa status

Nice to have

• E‑commerce or retail/inventory background (COGS, stock reconciliation, payment gateways such as Stripe or Checkout or Tabby)
• Experience in a multi‑entity group with intercompany transactions
• French is a plus
