Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the complete accounting cycle for a portfolio of clients. The role involves bookkeeping, financial reporting, VAT compliance, and regulatory coordination, ensuring accuracy and adherence to UAE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and manage the full accounting cycle for assigned clients
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Perform journal entries, general ledger management, and reconciliations
• Coordinate with clients for monthly reporting and approvals
• Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations
• Manage VAT refund applications and supporting documentation
• Maintain proper VAT records and submission acknowledgements
• Regularly monitor the FTA portal and identify required updates or amendments
• Coordinate internally for invoice generation after VAT submission
• Liaise with clients to collect financial data and resolve discrepancies
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
• Maintain proper documentation and compliance records for all clients

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Commerce
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in an accounting services firm is required
• UAE experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and basic UAE Corporate Tax
• Hands‑on experience with VAT return filing and refund processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software, and financial reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
