Job summary

TXM Solutions is seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and monthly closings, reporting directly to the VP Finance. The role requires strong ERP experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key duties include preparing journals, reconciliations, management reports, and supporting audits. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance/Commerce is required; professional qualifications are an advantage.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on ERP experience with Dynamics, SAP or Oracle.
• Experience in trading or distribution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and GL reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Prepare monthly management reports and analyses for VP Finance.
• Coordinate bank reconciliations, AR, AP, inventory, and intercompany balances.
• Assist in monthly financial statements and management accounts.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Assist with VAT accounting and statutory reporting.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Senior Accountant who can independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, complete monthly financial closings, prepare management reports, and report directly to the VP Finance. The candidate should have strong ERP experience and require minimal supervision.

Experience Required

• 6-8 years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP, or Oracle.
• Experience in trading or distribution companies is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA Inter, etc.) will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial schedules, and analyses for the VP Finance.
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, customer receivables, supplier payables, inventory, and intercompany balances.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management accounts.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions in the ERP system.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
• Assist with VAT accounting, reconciliations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support ad hoc finance projects and reporting requirements.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle ERP systems.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and month-end closing processes.
• Ability to prepare accurate management reports with minimal supervision.
