Job summary

Alcazar Energy Partners is seeking an experienced accountant who can organize day-to-day accounts tasks with limited supervision. The role requires hands-on bookkeeping, closing of accounts, and consolidation for a group structure.

The candidate should have Advance IFRS knowledge with experience in preparing consolidated financial statements; UAE tax laws and fund accounting knowledge are preferred. Strong numerical accuracy and ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Qualified CA, ACCA, CPA or similar.
• Experience with IFRS and consolidated financial statements.
• Experience with UAE tax laws preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely, accurate financial statements and reports.
• Prepare monthly consolidated statements per IFRS and tax laws.
• Assist in year-end close, audits, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with country Finance teams for close deadlines.
• Support process improvements and special projects.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and international tax laws.

Job description

An experienced accountant who is hands-on, and able to organize in a very reliable manner all required day-to-day accounts tasks with limited supervision. He or she is able to follow exact accounting protocol in bookkeeping, closing of accounts and methodology for recording complex transactions in a group company structure.

Advance IFRS knowledge with experience of preparation of consolidated financial statements is required. Knowledge of Fund accounting is preferred but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate has a financial sensitivity, strong ability to sense check numbers confirm accuracy of financial statements and reconcile outstanding balances of selected accounts. He or she is above-average system literate and capable of gradually taking ownership beyond the direct accounting tasks assigned to him or her.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure correct bookkeeping, timely and accurate production of financial statements and presentation of financial performance; inclusive of a multitude of accounting activities including but not limited to general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and assisting in the preparation of budget and forecast activities under tight deadlines.
• Ensure monthly consolidated financial statements are prepared and maintained in compliance with defined policies & procedures, IFRS and applicable Laws, including tax Laws.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close and Audit.
• Assist with the budget and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with Finance Teams of country operations to ensure timely closing of the books of accounts, special reporting requests etc.
• Support the Corporate Finance Team with special projects and workflow process improvements.
• Co-ordination and finalization of year end audit process.
• Knowledge of UAE and International Tax laws preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting

Technical Skills

• Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Must have experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience working on ERP, with MS Dynamics desirable.
