Job summary

IC Markets Global is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. The role involves day-to-day accounting functions, financial analysis, and maintaining accurate documentation for high-quality outputs.

The candidate will handle month-end/year-end closings, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and tax compliance, while liaising with auditors. Prior experience in CFD/Forex brokers is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in regulated brokers CFD/Forex space is a plus.
• Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate postings and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Review supplier invoices and ensure accurate posting.
• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure IFRS or other applicable accounting standards compliance.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze actual performance against budgets and prepare variance analyses.
• Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries.
• Ensure timely submission of applicable tax returns and VAT/regulatory filings where applicable.
• Liaise with auditors for statutory filings and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting functions, supporting financial analysis, and maintaining accurate financial documentation while delivering high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate accounting entries and account reconciliation
• Perform monthly and year-end closing activities.

• Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS or other relevant accounting standards.
