Job summary

Novixa Capital is seeking an experienced Finance Accountant to lead financial reporting, P&L preparation, reconciliations, and UAE tax compliance. The role requires hands-on management of ledgers, month-end processes, and strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience in the Forex/Fintech sector, with proficiency in accounting software and Excel, and the ability to work with auditors and tax consultants in a fast-paced international

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, P&L, balance sheets, reconciliations and ledgers.
• Experience with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and related filings.
• Knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax regulations.

About the Role

Novixa Capital is looking for an experienced Finance Accountant with strong expertise in financial reporting, P&L preparation, reconciliations, balance sheet preparation, general ledger management, and UAE tax compliance.

Previous experience in the Forex / Fintech industry is mandatory. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of brokerage financial operations, UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and applicable financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Prepare and analyse profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets.
• Maintain general ledgers, journal entries, and accurate financial records.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and revenue records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Reconciliation & Forex Operations

• Perform bank, payment-provider, liquidity-provider, and trading-related reconciliations, as applicable.
• Reconcile brokerage transactions, commissions, fees, and other income streams.
• Investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate transaction recording.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate financial records.

UAE Tax & Compliance

• Prepare and support the filing of UAE Corporate Tax returns and related computations.
• Manage VAT calculations, VAT return preparation, and filing in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Maintain tax records, supporting documents, and reconciliation schedules.
• Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submissions and payments.
• Review the tax treatment of income, expenses, and brokerage transactions.
• Support tax audits, financial audits, and requests from external tax consultants or authorities.
• Keep up to date with relevant UAE tax legislation, FTA requirements, and applicable IFRS standards.

Audit & Financial Controls

• Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Strengthen accounting controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with management, auditors, tax consultants, and other internal departments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Mandatory experience in the Forex / Fintech industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, P&L, balance sheets, reconciliations, and general ledgers.
• Practical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance, calculations, and return filing.
• Good understanding of UAE tax regulations, FTA requirements, and IFRS.
• Experience with brokerage transactions, payment providers, and trading-related reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
