Job summary

Novotel & ibis Balikpapan is seeking a Security Supervisor in Ras Al Khaimah to lead a security team and uphold high safety standards for guests and staff. The role covers supervision of security staff, CCTV and access control oversight, incident handling, and collaboration with other departments to ensure secure hotel operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in security with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in hospitality or luxury environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of security experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Hospitality or luxury industry experience preferred.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in security management are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the security team to ensure high performance and adherence to protocols.
• Oversee daily operations of security systems including CCTV, access control and alarms.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances with investigations and reports.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and conduct regular patrols to detect risks or breaches.
• Maintain visible presence to ensure guest and staff safety and provide guidance when needed.
• Lead emergency response during evacuations, drills, and first-aid events.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to security personnel.
• Maintain logs of all security incidents and prepare management reports.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance and front desk to secure high-risk zones and events.
• Ensure security systems are functioning and report malfunctions for repair.

Team Leadership

Supervise and lead the security team ensuring all security personnel are well-trained follow procedures and perform their duties to the highest standard

Security Operations

Oversee the daily operations of security systems including surveillance access control and alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of the property

Incident Management

Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents emergencies or disturbances Investigate and document incidents preparing reports and taking appropriate follow-up action

Monitoring amp Surveillance

Monitor CCTV systems alarm systems and conduct regular patrols to detect any potential security risks or breaches

Guest and Staff Safety

Maintain a visible presence on the property to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff Provide assistance and guidance to both employees and guests when needed

Emergency Response

Lead emergency response procedures during evacuations first-aid events and fire drills ensuring that all staff and guests adhere to safety protocols

Training amp Development

Provide on-the-job training and guidance to security personnel to ensure they remain updated on procedures emergency protocols and best security practices

Incident Reporting

Maintain accurate logs of all security-related incidents suspicious activities and accidents and prepare regular reports for management

Collaboration with Departments

Work closely with other departments such as housekeeping maintenance and front desk to ensure the security of all areas particularly high-risk zones and special events

Security Systems Maintenance

Ensure that all security systems CCTV access control alarms are functioning properly and report any malfunctions to the appropriate department for repair

Compliance with Security Procedures

Ensure the property complies with all relevant local security laws and regulations company policies and industry best practices

Education and Experience

Education: High School diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in security management or related fields are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within the hospitality or luxury industry.
