Job summary

Client of Edvectus is seeking secondary teachers in Dubai for an immediate start. The role centers on Physics (with possible Mathematics) for students up to Year 11 within a British curriculum environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

SECONDARY TEACHERS NEEDED IN THE UAE Location Dubai Start Date Immediate Subject Physics initially up to Year 11 IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF CANDIDATES COULD OFFER BOTH PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS This established British curriculum school provides education from Foundation Stage through the secondary years and has a diverse international community of more than 600 students representing over 70 nationalities Following the National Curriculum for England the school places strong emphasis on personalised learning student wellbeing and high academic standards with relatively small class sizes and a supportive community environment The modern campus offers specialist science laboratories ICT and technology facilities dedicated Art Music Drama and Food Technology spaces libraries swimming pools sports halls an astroturf pitch and multi-purpose sports facilities The school is continuing to develop its secondary provision providing teachers with the opportunity to contribute to a growing and evolving international school environment

Salary is tax free and ranges from AED16000 to 19000 per month Accommodation costs are included in the salary Flights and medical insurance are also provided for the employee only

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Education or a relevant subject
  • Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of recent teaching experience
  • Experience teaching the relevant age group and subject
  • Experience delivering the National Curriculum for England
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Good understanding of assessment and using assessment information to support student progress
  • Ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Strong classroom management skills and high expectations of student behaviour and achievement
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and student progress
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an international teaching team
  • Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing and pastoral care
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community
  • Previous international or UAE teaching experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a growing school or supporting the development of a secondary phase would be advantageous for relevant positions
