Key Responsibilities
- Support students with SEND across secondary phases through personalized learning strategies and targeted intervention plans
- Work closely with teachers to ensure inclusive classroom practices and differentiated learning experiences
- Assist in identifying student learning needs and implementing effective support systems
- Promote academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing for students requiring additional support
- Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and parents to ensure consistent student development
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of intervention outcomes and support plans
- Provide guidance to staff on inclusive education strategies and SEND best practices
- Contribute to school‑wide inclusion initiatives, student wellbeing programmes, and safeguarding priorities
- Participate actively in extracurricular programmes and wider school community engagement
- Uphold school values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude in all professional responsibilities
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor of Education or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching Secondary SENDco and supporting inclusive education
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies, student wellbeing, and intervention planning
- Excellent classroom collaboration and teacher support abilities
