The School Bus Nanny and Cleaner - Student Support will assist students during daily school bus journeys, ensuring safe boarding, seating, seatbelt use, attendance tracking, student wellbeing, and clear communication with teachers and parents. The role also includes supporting students with special needs, understanding individual student requirements, helping the driver with route awareness, and performing cleaning tasks in designated areas. The successful candidate must be patient, alert, child‑friendly, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean school transport environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet students warmly as they board the school bus and assist them in finding their assigned seats.
• Ensure students embark and disembark from the bus safely at school and designated drop‑off points.
• Assist students with bags, lunchboxes, and belongings, ensuring items are placed safely in designated areas.
• Help students fasten seatbelts and ensure they remain properly strapped throughout the journey.
• Take and maintain accurate student attendance records during bus trips.
• Provide extra care and assistance to students with special needs to ensure comfort, safety, and wellbeing.
• Learn and adapt to each student’s medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs where applicable.
• Manage student behavior on the bus in a calm, respectful, and professional manner.
• Communicate with teachers and parents regarding student behavior, safety concerns, or daily transport updates.
• Become familiar with school bus routes to assist the driver during pick‑up and drop‑off journeys.
• Support the driver and school transport team in maintaining orderly movement of students.
